Following up on the Green Gathering Sponsored Presentation by Doug Tallamy regarding Native plants and their importance to pollinators – especially butterflies – the Gettysburg Green Gathering is excited to present Butterfly Author, Carol Pasternak – The Monarch Crusader.
Join us on April 29th at 1pm at the Gettysburg Rec Park on the opening day of the Adams County Farmers Market. Learn how to bring nature to your own home by planting native plants and attracting pollinators which will help you create your own piece of the Homegrown National Park on your property.
Carol Pasternak has written books that inspire people to love nature. Her first book, How to Raise Monarch Butterflies A Step-by-Step Guide for Kids (Firefly Books 2012) has received international acclaim and sold 50,000 copies, and her most recent book, Five Butterflies was endorsed by Doug Tallamy. Carol seeks to inspire people to replace their lawn with native plants because they will love the rewards! You’ll leave her presentations anxious to inspect the life and death insect drama that exists right now in your yard and wild spaces, and eager to bring more of it to their yards and public areas.
This event is free, but a registration is required and any donations to defer the cost of the event are appreciated!
